I am a Physical Therapist in the Vancouver, Washington area. Vancouver is part of the Portland Oregon metro area. I am a Certified NAET and BioSET Practitioner.
NAET is a technique used to permanently eliminate or desensitize allergies or sensitivities. With NAET we can assess for allergies or sensitivities and systematically eliminate your body's abnormal response to the allergen by using techniques of gentle mobilizations (Physical Therapy techniques) to the sympathetic and parasympathetic nerve bundles along your spine. This technique re-sets (back to normal) your body's response to substances or allergens so that it no longer responds to these in an inappropriate allergic way.
The BioSET® System employs three basic treatments: organ-specific detoxification, enzyme therapy, and desensitization.
- Organ-specific detoxification: Stimulates the release of accumulated toxins from organs and tissues and promotes elimination from the body through the use of homeopathics.
- Enzyme therapy: Facilitates good digestion and a healthful inflammatory response to correct nutritional deficiencies and other systemic imbalances through the therapeutic use of vegetarian enzyme supplements.
- Sensitivity desensitization: Bioenergetic evaluation of organ stress and nutritional status followed by the elimination of allergic responses and sensitivities through a revolutionary, noninvasive technique based on acupressure meridians and immunology.
I started my journey with NAET as a patient. In 1999 I developed chronic infections and required the use of antibiotics daily for 2 years to fight the infections. Traditional medicine's only answer for my problem was constant daily antibiotic use. I had never had allergies prior to my extensive use of antibiotics. During these two years I developed severe seasonal allergies and an asthmatic cough. I finally was able to eliminate my infection by use of naturopathic methods and was able to get off of the daily antibiotics by 2002 but I was left with constant frustrating allergies. I took inhalers and allergy meds year round to manage my allergies. I would get up in the morning with no symptoms but by the time I ate or drank anything my coughing would start and it would last all day. I felt unprofessional speaking with my patients as I would cough all the time sometimes mid sentence. I lived like this from 1999 until 2007.
My parents who are medical professionals (my Mother a nurse and my Father a family practice Doctor) called me from their home in Canada and told me about their success with NAET with eliminating allergies with their patients. This was the first I had ever heard of it and my parents were new to NAET as well. I found a practitioner near me and started the process of changing my body's response to allergies that I had been fighting with since 1999. During the course of the first 15 treatments my coughing disappeared. I was amazed.
During my pregnancy with my son I decided to seek training to become a NAET practitioner. I am now practicing in Vancouver, WA. I am always amazed by the results this gentle and simple technique has influencing the body's nervous system to respond appropriately to substances that have caused a negative reaction in the past.
Since becoming a NAET practitioner I have gone on to become a certified BioSET practitioner as well. This allows me greater flexibility to provide the treatments appropriate for each individual by customizing the best treatments for their sensitivities.
NAET and BioSET are an alternative therapy for health and allergy/sensitivity elimination. As with any medical service that I provide I aim to:
