Holistic Physical Therapy in Portland Metro Area

In my opinion Physical Therapy should bridge traditional medicine with alternative or complimentary medicine.  I have always felt drawn to the human connection on a physical and an energetic level and I have always applied this connection to my Physical Therapy practice. This has led me to expand my manual therapy skills and certifications in Energetic Medicine like NAET, BioSET and Accunect to blend their healing methods with my western Physical Therapy training.  I am always looking for a  holistic approach to healing by viewing the physical body and the energetic body as a whole.  Sometimes past experiences dictate our body's neuro-physiological response to stimuli even if it is a negative response.  The hands on manual therapy training allows me to apply forces that facilitate the improvement in energetic patterns and allow the physical body to function in a more normal and positive way. Optimal healing is my goal for myself and others.

My New Website

My new website is up and running.  I have put a lot of time and effort into this website and designed it myself.  I have had many versions but this is the final result of my endeavors.  I did have some help getting it onto the web as that technical part is not my forte.  My brother Lakin Wecker is part of Structured Abstraction a technology company in Calgary, Alberta and he is my tech support.  Thanks Lakin.

Here is another more concerning article about research suggesting that children who receive care from complimentary and alternative care providers are less likely to be immunized and are more likely to be diagnosed with vaccine preventable illness. I am on the fence with the vaccine issue. I feel that there are a lot of sensitivities to these vaccines and thus one child reacts one way and the next another so there is no scientific link to the vaccine related complications. But if I look at things from an alternative energetic medicine perspective, I know that sensitivity to vaccines appears to cause a lot of issues. So If you ask me you should desensitize for vaccines by using NAET or BioSET if you are going to participate in the immunization program.
